The surge towards alternative health medicine, vegan lifestyles and natural health products is growing rapidly. People are more and more aware of the importance of looking after their bodies and avoiding damaging toxins. Basically, we’re looking for other ways to improve our health that are as natural as possible.
Alternative Health Care Practices
There’s a wide range of alternative health care practices, products and therapies now which I’m sure we’ve all tried at some point, whether it acupuncture, homeopathy, supplements etc.
One thing we all have in common when trying these things is a willingness to ‘give it a go’ and an open mind to find what works to treat or improve our specific condition. Some of these help on both a physical and psychological level too, and there is of course the placebo effect… how much does it come into play and does it actually matter whether it’s the placebo effect that made you feel better or the actual ‘alternative treatment’ you had in the first place?
Of course there are many people who speculate and aren’t interested in all these ‘alternative methods’ as even though they claim to heal, there’s no grounds or proof as they aren’t based on scientific method or prescribed by a doctor. And that’s cool! Thoughts are free!
One thing I do know is that the more and more people I meet and talk to, the more people are open minded and want to try new things. It’s also amazing to see what’s actually out there once you start looking.
Which reminds me, Active Silver are exhibiting at the It's Your Life, Natural Health Show again on 10 April 2016 in Reading.
We exhibited in November 2015 and it amazing to be around so many people (both visitors and exhibitors) who all believe there’s a better way and are looking for something as an alternative to help them on their journey through life.
