Acne or Spots? Colloidal Silver can help...

Having had acne as a child, I know how emotionally and physically damaging it can be.

From the age of about 14, I use to get very big, angry, painful spots, mainly on my forehead and around my chin, but I know others had loads of little tiny spots, equally as painful and unsightly.

We always tried to cover them up, with some cheap make up, the thicker the better that most probably contained all sorts of chemicals that made the acne even worse! Vicious circle!

At Active Silver we feel very passionate about helping teenagers and adults with acne.

There are many ways you can use our products to help as Colloidal Silver is antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal. Here are some suggestions:

Colloidal Silver For Mild Acne

  1. Use Active Glow as a moisturiser day and night – this light gel moisturiser is so smooth and helps to heal your skin while keeping it nourished and hydrated. It contains colloidal silver, aloe vera, coconut oil, rose water, vitamin e oil, plus gold and silver particles that make your skin glow – so all gorgeous natural ingredients that are really kind to your skin – nothing else needed as the colloidal silver acts as the preservative because of its antibacterial properties.
  2. Use Hit the Spot on your acne each evening. This can also be applied by blobbing it onto a spot, or rubbing it across a large area of spots. This product is great for zapping acne spots and if full of Zinc and Colloidal Silver to help heal. It can also be under makeup if you really rub in the cream, as it gives you a matt finish for the make up to sit on top. This means your skin will be in contact with the Hit the Spot cream acting as a barrier to the makeup.
  3. 5ml daily dose of Colloidal Silver – swill this around your mouth for as long as you can before swallowing. This really helps build your immune system and fight infections and spots from the inside out.

Colloidal Silver For Bad Acne

  2. 2 x 10ml dose of Colloidal Silver – take this dose for 2-6 weeks until you see improvements. It’s best to swill it around your mouth for as long as you can before swallowing. This really helps build your immune system and fight infection and spots from the inside out. You can also use the Colloidal Silver with the spray to mist your face as often as you like, and just let it dry.
  3. Use Colloidal Silver ‘Magic’ Gel – this is a cooling gel that can be used on our acne as often as you like during the day. The aloe vera in the gel really soothes your skin and the colloidal silver helps to heal it, help avoid and repair scaring, and vitamin e adds nourishment.
  4. Once your skin has improved you can start using the Glow as a moisturiser, and take a 5ml daily dose instead of the 2x10ml

Try the Active Silver Acne Pack, which contains 250ml bottle of Active Silver Colloidal Silver, 30ml ‘Magic’ Colloidal Silver Gel, and a 7ml Hit the Spot cream. This retails at £25.

Other Tips

  • Increase your ZINC levels – Many people who suffer with acne can be deficient in Zinc. Zinc is an essential mineral required by the body for healthy clear skin and a healthy immune system, as it has a fundamental role in cell growth and replication. Be warned, that if you over do the Zinc, it can make you feel nauseous, give you headaches or diarrhoea. If you think you might have a Zinc deficiency, to increase your Zinc levels you can:
    • Take Zinc supplements – it’s worth taking these available in most high street chemists or natural food shops.
    • Eat more Zinc-rich foods – such as lean beef and lamb, seafood (cooked oysters), spinach, pumpkin and squash seeds, nuts (pine nuts, cashews), pork and chicken, Cocoa and dark chocolate, beans (chickpeas), mushrooms.
    • For more info on Zinc, here’s a nice webpage I found http://www.clearskinforever.net/zinc-and-acne-does-zinc-help-with-acne/
  • Try not to touch your face or pick spots. This might seem obvious, but there’s so much bacteria on your hands that you can cause an infection making your spots worse.
  • Keep your face clean. It’s worth investing in a good quality, natural face wash to really clean your skin twice a day to remove impurities, excess oils and dead skin cells. Try to avoid harsh scrubs.
  • Reduce or improve your make up Limit your make up or if you need to wear make up, ensure it’s as natural as possible and free from horrible chemicals - it’s worth spending a bit more money on a good quality, natural make up. Some of the expensive retail brands aren’t always kind to your skin, so keep a look out.
