It’s cold! And it’s the time of year when our skin is noticeably more dry and flaky. Nice! It’s not necessarily the lack of moisturising that causes the dryness, as sometimes adding certain oils or creams can make things worse…
The right moisturisers for your skin
So use the right moisturizers (avoid those with petroleum or paraffin as they don’t penetrate beyond the first layer of skin).
The dryness can even be caused by a mild skin condition (associated with an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus) which you wouldn’t even know you had, or even mild eczema and psoriasis.
Dryness can actually occur in areas that have the greatest number of sebaceous (oil) glands – so the scalp, eyelids, eyebrows, sides of the nose, behind the ears and middle of the chest.
One of our customers was recently using Active Silver to treat a burn and then found spraying her whole face helped improve with her usual winter dry skin condition. Excellent!
